technical question:

this was all shot in SD on tape. something i noticed (which i didnt notice with the DVX camera) is that blues in lower light have "banding". This also occered in the Brazil trailer where the talents face was partly obscuring a computer monitor and the monitors bules were banding- you will see the low light blues in the beggining of the spain trialer in the fountain footage- and the banding in the blue screen room at the beggining of the brazil trailer- at the end of the brazil trailer I had to use a blur filter because the footage was ruined by the computer monitor banding blues.


hope to figure out why this is happening...settings were all default #1 on the dial

I like the music genre and thought the video looked really interesting. The most compelling part is when the voice over begins. that's when it becomes clear this isn't just about a bunch of wannebee hipsters but about something really interesting. For that reason, i'd love to see a version where the voice over begins much much earlier. I'm afraid that some ppl (particularly those who don't love the genre) will turn it off or stop watching before the VO even begins. It's because up until you hear the guy, it looks like this is just some self promo piece. That's just my advice. good work!

I have noticed the blue banding on my DVX. It's more visible in the on camera lcd. I think it's just an artifact of the DV compression. Have you noticed it when shooting P2?
