New to the world of DVX, and filming in general.

Hey, I'm completely new to this site, and I thought I could ask for some help.Recently I've pursued in the interest of filming, and I'm very interested with it. I've filmed one short, and I have a few incomplete shorts. I currently use a Sony DCR- HC46, it's kind of crappy, but it's a camera to say the least. I want to further indulge myself in the world of film-making, and I believe that the DVX100B will help me to do this. I've been looking up prices for this camera, and it just seems to scatter.

I just really need help. I don't want to spend that much on this camera, and 900 dollars for this camera just seems too good to be true. Your input is appreciated!
 
you will not get a new dvx100b for $900

try ebay you can find a used dvx100 for pretty cheap not $900 though
 
yes a used dvx100b will be around $2000 on the high side and lower...i got a used dvx100a recently for quite a low price because the firewire is shot but i capture from a different deck anyway but rest of camera is real nice...but search around locally in your area and you may find a good deal on one...i located mine locally off craigs list...
