New to P2

[Dave87]

First of all sorry if this is the milion time you read this kind of questions and sorry for my bad english.

1. I have a Dell Studio Laptop Dual core 2 duo at 2.4 GHz, 3GB ram. The question is: can i edit 1080/25p in Premiere CS4?

2. If i have a P2 camcorder(HPX 171), can i record directly to the laptop while using the laptop monitor as a assist?

Thanx in advance.

1) Yes.

2) Yes, if you have OnLocation along with your Premiere CS4.

I do great editing on my Mac Book Pro with FCP, if you ever want to change.

2) Yes, if you have OnLocation along with your Premiere CS4.

OnLocation should come bundled with all versions of Premiere CS4 now.
