Other: New, ( to me anyway ), Compact FF Unit

I thought I'd post this about a Double Sided Follow Focus, ( Studio FF ), that I have recent bought from a accessories company by the name of LENSSE. It's really amazing value for money and I feel would have a place on many Sony rigs including my F3 when it's somewhat stripped down for lighter shoots. For lighter, smaller cameras it's ideal.
The current version is the Lensse F5 however a few months back I got the earlier version, ( the Lensse F3 ), and despite liking much about it I found some things not to like too so I got in contact with Lensse and a dialogue developed. http://www.lensse.com
Their customer support is really amazing, they listen to their customers, respond almost immediately and make changes vey quickly to the product to incorporate real improvements……As we all wish many other companies would, but seldom do.

Two months later out comes the version F5 and it's simply great, I've very very few things to wish changed now. There's ZERO backlash, it fits well on 15mm rod / rigs, solidly made and best of all right now it's on promo' at $299. Unbelievable, and NO, other than being a very happy customer I have no connections with Lensse. I just thought I'd pass on this to anyone who could be looking at the need for a Studio FF but baulk at the cost of many of them out there. It's solidly well made and engineered, no complaints there.

I have full sized Chroziel Studio and Single sided FF units, plus another SS from Eldelkrone, this one from Lensse works very well for me on my Ikonoskop DII rig and the GH4 rig and I'm sure that it will have it's place with the F3 rig too, but I've yet to try that.
Attaching some shots taken today on my Ikonoskop set-up, will do the same with the F3 soon if anyone's interested. But this just gives you an idea of the FF anyway.

Hello Viddovation, first I have no relationship with Lensse other than being pleased with the product and their customer service so when there's something that works well it's good to pass that on don't you think?….And yes, perhaps I should have posted it on Support-Gear. i'll fix that, thanks for the "heads up".

There should only be one thread and support is the best place for it like you said. But everything he said about it is true. We've been raving about this one for a while on BMCuser. I wish I hadn't already bought the F3 now (still a very well built unit, especially at the $199 delivered price) but like Peter said, a few minor issues which I wasn't complaining about at the price - backlash, fiddly to lock down but very solid and otherwise well designed. I was thrilled with it until I found about about the new one. I don't want to spend another $300 on another follow focus a couple of months later but everyone who bought the old one is raving about the improvement so I may well end up doing so, keep this one for b cam and sell my old RJ.

No, you're right, no offense taken. The F35 / F65 posting was a mistake I made and as I couldn't figure out how to do so myself, even if I could, I have already asked the moderator to remove it. This FF maybe a good fit with some FS7 users and those that use still camera lenses on their rigs, that's why I posted it here on the PMW Threads.

Oh! Gotcha. Yea, Honestly, if I'd only seen the one posting I wouldn't have said anything. Apologies. I don't know what the mods would say, but I figure if you're only directing it towards the users of one form set, then it's fair to post it there. Again, apologies.
