New to HVX200 and shooting - need advice.

Hey forum - I'm doing something crazy. I'm an editor that has only used the Canon XL2 in the past. My experience is post. Albeit I'm shooting footage at a conference this weekend on the HVX200. Never used the camera!

So...if any of you have some killer tips that would rock the house.

I'll be grabbing footage indoor and out.

Will probably record backup sound with a small field recorder. I'm assuming I'll just shoot 29.97. Will be using Final Cut to edit footage.

Any comments about camera settings, etc. MOST appreciated!

I assume by now your shoot is over, but if not, you might want to start by choosing a recording format...then we could offer some more help. Have no idea what your experience level is, so that's a tough question! Good luck :)

I say shoot in 720 30pn film mode, set ur shutter speed ,nd filter ,white balance, iris n u shood be good luck

Be gentle with the battery clip button on the camera - there have been many reports of them breaking.
