I have been editing on pinnacle since 2006 on SD footage and down converted HD footage. I recently purchased an AC130 for my main shooting and have been playing with options for burning to standard DVD. My question is, how do I make an ISO file for burning from an Mpeg 2 file. I have rendered footage to Mpeg2 so as not to have to down convert to Sd for burning, but cannot figure out how to make the Mpeg 2 file an ISO file so i can burn it.............I feel like an idiot, hope someone has a solution for me.

You shouldn't have to make any conversions. Using Pinnacle Studio 12 (and previous versions) I've burned standard def DVD's straight from the timeline. In "Make Movie" select the correct disk option and proceed from there.

Then from that same timeline I've rendered to HD MP4 and WMV files.

The biggest problem is trying to edit (and render) from AVCHD using a computer with a slower processor. I'm having my best luck with an HP that has a 2nd generation Core i7 2600 processor. My previous machine, a first gen Core i7 still "struggles" with AVCHD files dropped on the timeline.
