New to DVX and 24p capture and output

No question is a stupid question I think someone said.

I am new to using DVX100A and 24p. My task is to create a video using 24p and output to DVD.

My equipment
DVX100A in 24p mode
MAC Powerbook imovie/idvd
FCP 4

Is it possible to import 24p mode using imovie and edit it in FCP 4 and output to DVD using idvd?

iMovie WON'T capture 24p come to think of it why are you using iMovie when you've got FCP4?? The rest sounds O.K but I've not done it myself!

I just found it easier to capture all the footage to drive with imovie. Do you know anything about exporting it to idvd though? i'm still working on a copy of DVD studio pro for export but till then i have to consider other alternatives.
 
Shoot 24p (F5) (NOT 24pa) if you're going to deal with iMovie.
Edit in iMovie or other pp and then export to iDVD.
The 24fps look is established in the capture. You'll be editing normal video mode (29.97) but still retain the 24fps look.
