Hey everyone,
I have done a bit of searching on here to get a little more informed on my DVX but I still have a couple questions.
I recently bought a used DVX with 176 hours on the heads, I used to shoot on a Sony vx2000 and have always used Sony Premium tapes. I know that Sony uses a wet lubricant as opposed to other tape brands, will shooting on Sony Premium tapes give me any issues if I use ONLY those tapes? The camp I work at supplies me with Sony Premium tapes so I am a little curious if there could be any issues.
Also, I have read several things regarding the squeeze mode and 16:9 mode and I have one very quick question that should be pretty simple:
I am shooting a widescreen project for an anamorphic timeline in FCP, I have a lot of footage from other people who shot on Sony cameras and imported the footage as anamorphic. Should I be shooting 16:9, standard, or squueze if I am wanting to import the footage into an anamorphic project?
Thanks a lot for any help!
