Alright, Im a noob to cameras but I am willing to learn :cheesy:

I am looking into taking pictures of skateboarding and such. But am looking for a fairly nice camera. My friend has a Sony A330 and that seems to fit the bill. Does anybody have any thoughts on to what a good entry level camera to take pictures of sports with? If anybody knows of one that could take a fisheye also that would be amazing.

Im hoping to spend around $500 max but I found a refurbished A330 kit on ebay which the highest bid is up to $200 right now.

If you want to solely take photos of skateboarding then get the Nikon D70. It might be yonks old but it's one of the only DSLR's that has a flash sync speed of 1/500th ;)

This will come in VERY handy when you want to freeze the movement in the skater and skateboard ;)

Is $300 shipped a fair price for a the following:
  • Minty Nikon D70s
  • AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm lens with cap and hood
  • Inferred Remote
  • Lexar 4GB Memory Card
  • Original charger, battery, cables, etc.
Here are some pictures of it:

Basically I want to know if I'm getting my money's worth or if I should go lower?
