NEW: That Music Video is up to view..

how many cams did you use

how many cams did you use

hi i was wondering how many cams did you use for the video it looks very nice ..

Cool video, looked very slick. Most performance clips bore me but this one kept me going. The only thing I didn't like about it was about 3/4 of the way through when it starts to cut the shots really quickly, I know it's trying to match the intensity of the music but it just didn't work for me, felt like it went on for too long.

The band rocks too, good song.

Thanks again all. I'l see whatI can address.

I don't "employ" any per sey. We all work at the same studio in Miami. The other videops on that same page all are products of the studio (such as the Kamasutra, which yes is a PS Teknik adapter )

Peter: That is the tickety.. first blen in to get the work.. then go crazy standing out! LOL

Kenji: Just one camera on that shoot. Only do two to three takes on a bigger set up like the locked down CU or the dollie shot, then gave each band mameber 2 full takes, anda bit more then that on lead and back up.

Cleavage: (if that is your REAL name LOL) Yeah 3/4 through i did that to break things up, decided to go VERY different with it. Their management had kept saying, "The editing is very important.. it has to be strong." They said it so much I started to think they worried perhaps it would not be so I did that section in essence.. to shut them up. It worked LOL They were speechless. Although I maybe should include a warning for people who potentially suffer from seizures.

Hiro: I got a little sum'pn sum'pn goin on this Fri. in Charlotte, might need to hit you up. I'll find out more Mon or Tue.

Smithhouse: Thank youi very much, the support is appreciated!

Brandonc: Well on that same sight, I worked on most of those music videos in soem capacity and they are all through the studio where I work, but another one of mine can be found at the following address. It is a flash compression, but you can still get a sense of the video. I have several more coming up. They are both on a little bit of short notice, so hopefully they will come out ok. Anyway.. check it.

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually prefer performance videos to ones with fabricated storylines. I like the maximum amount of time that I can to connect with an artist, take in their personality, watch their musicianship, and experience the passion of the message they are trying to convey firsthand. These kinds of videos are more rewarding to me than watching a staged clip of some random girl screaming at her "boyfriend" before throwing a vase against the wall (in slow motion, of course) as she runs out the front door of their apartment in tears.

Your clip looks fantastic... I wish you lived closer, I'd love to see how you work in person. Good job.

Haakon: That license plate Rocks! LOL Thanks man, I do appreciate the kind words. I have coem to atleast appreciate the difficulty of making a good performance video. That is making one that has only that to keep the audience attention. I know I won't always fully accomplish that, but it does feel good to get close. A good example of some really well done performance videos are the new Yellowcard video for Lights and sounds. Great video, great set, and some very simple but effective post work for a nice energy. The other is the swithfoot Stars video, which has alot going on considering it is performance (a portion of the performance was shot under water, but then they were comped in to the dry set.. Scott Spears stole my idea! LOL) Everyone interested in videos should check those out if you get a chance, and thanks again to all for watching.
