SWIT just let us know that the new battery is going to be avalable in a few days. It is equivalent to SONY BP-U60 in capacity rating, has state of charge LEDs and a DC jack for powering accessories. It communicates with the camera via the Sony digital interface, so there is no need for a DC cable that S-8U62 battery used for powering EX1/EX3 cameras. Shipping now.
