New Swisse TVC in XDCAM codec

Thanks,

The codec holds up quite well I think, but I am looking forward to seeing how the PIX240 works for 10-bit

I have to say I don't like the greenish tint of the Grade, specially the wide shots. Also skin tones have that strong "Sony" look...Good commercial and good cinematography, though. My opinion is subjective, probably a question of taste. Like much better the SLOG "vanilla" tone graded.

It's actually the true colour of the scene. You can see this because the skin tones of the swimmer are natural. The only grading was some vignetting and gamma adjustments. It's basically as shot in-camera. I generally don't like going nuts on the colour grade for TVC's. Here are two shots from the hotel's website showing the pool. Still, I'm always open to new views and ideas!

i quite liked the color. i understand what SPZ means about sony-ness, but i think in this case the color scheme worked to the camera's strengths. skin tone and the wooden bench looked good.

very nice.

Very natural colors grade for my taste.

Inspires which is meant too... cleanliness and health.

Well use of the slow motion also.

May I ask which Nikon lenses were used for this commercial?

Thanks everyone. We used a MTF adaptor with the 80-200mm Nikon AF-D on the tight swim shots and the gym cutaways. It was very tricky for Tony Brennan the DOP, to pull focus without an assist. I think we use the 24-70mm, 35mm 1.4 and 50mm 1.4 on the rest. Geoff the swimmer is very dark skinned so I couldn't do much with a grade without roto-ing a mask. I've always been a Panasonic guy; Varicam and HVX200/Letus; but I'm loving this camera.

Thank you for posting.

I have also been a Panasonic guy since very long.

Hope to upgrade to the F3 anytime before the years end...

Enjoy and have fun with your beloved baby-Alexa!
