New Sony FS5 footage

Stabilization is generally defined by the lens not the body (except for ibis bodies). In my experience native E mount lenses have smooth aperture adjustments and relatively smooth stabilizers as they are designed with video in mind, but they are pretty much all focus by wire so they have quite good AF but cannot be manually focused, whereas a lot of DSLR lenses have steppy electronic apertures and stabilizers. IS varies a lot from lens manufacturer to manufacturer. Sometimes it's nice to have a super aggressive stabilizer and be able to get handheld shots that look like they are on sticks even at long focal lengths (my older Tamron 28-300 has this) but thing start look funky when you stop or start panning or if you can't stabilize your camera within the tolerance of the lens IS...

Ok it looks good so far, but are there any downsides to the variable ND system, is it a polarisation type system?

Cool stuff. Although why is it so many videos have that high pedestal, milky misty grey look to them? I wonder how much this is post or the natural look to the camera. Can't say I am a huge fan of this look.

To me that footage really does not look very good. "The Catman" to me was great. This footage seemed out of focus, soft and of course brightness was way different between shots. Perhaps because he used overcrank?
