New Sony F54k camera

Mitch Gross of the Convergent Design also chimed in, "If I told you our fake news, I'd have to fake kill you".

You guys have no idea how tempted I was this year.

I had the idea all outlined, and even considered doing a "product video" of it. The "Odyssey1" was to be a 1" cube that recorded high speed uncompressed RAW to a Micro-SD card and featured a 1" 8K touchscreen. It would ship with its own electron microscope so that you could pixel-peep the screen, along with an engraved toothpick to operate the touchscreen.

In the end I chickened out because I was afraid everyone would think we'd actually made a viewfinder.

But will it have mojo or film-look added to footage for those slightly challenged cameras? (or challenged DP's)

:undecided

We're working on Ant Man technology to embed a colorist directly into the device. So far the biggest problem is that he keeps crawling out of the test unit to crawl over to the producer's ear and explain how he rescued the crappy work of the DP.

Nonetheless, Combatenthropy repeated his old position, "I don't care how back-in-time fast this new rolling shutter is, I still want global shutter". After being shown a video clip that didn't yet exist, his opinion nonetheless remained the same.

Yeah. Now put some pants on.

I got a kick out of the PL mount with autofocus and image stabilization. Thanks, starcentral. This was my first time seeing it.

Ok I'm going to start this again:

mistake

Now, you're just stealing Jim Martin's best material, material that took him years - no, make it, decades - to perfect. And you take it without so much as attribution, let alone any royalties. Is that what they teach you north of the border (or the Mason-Dixon line, whichever happens to be north of the other)?

And don't think Jim has glossed over this. While others are getting their gear orders filled promptly, he was heard just outside his offices, "Dennis, step to the right. No Ursa for you!"

This is among the best posts I've seen in a while! Haha.
and the comment about not even being able to afford the April fools cameras!
I was almost believing this joke camera thread at first.
Contacted for a comment, Canon's management released this statement:

"We are not competing with Sony fakes. Our fakes have fake Canon sensor with faux 4K, fake recording codec from the turn of the millennium and a fake 29 second recording limit. Canon customers must realize that fakes can't be produced willy-nilly, that they take countless hours to create and disseminate onto the world wide web. With that in mind, Canon will announce its fake schedule to coincide with its fake model production cycle and invites everyone to log onto its fake pro product page with their fake opinions".

Grant Petty of Black Magic Design posted a short video clip instead. "I don't know what people expect from Black Magic. We posted our fake 2016 April's Fool Day news on April's Fool's Day in 2015. Well, it wasn't a real fake. It was a 4.6 Ursa 4.6K mini. Good night now and drive safely".

Mitch Gross of the Convergent Design also chimed in, "If I told you our fake news, I'd have to fake kill you".

DVX's own Barry Green decided to up the ante by posting a new Barry Green Guide to a new fake Panasonic camcorder. To do so, he copied most of the "what would you want in the AF-100 replacement?" thread from 2014-15.

Samuel H. posted his April's Fool Day rolling shutter test for F54K. Oddly enough, his rolling shutter showed a negative delay and was thereby a full second faster than ARRI Alexa. Nonetheless, Combatenthropy repeated his old position, "I don't care how back-in-time fast this new rolling shutter is, I still want global shutter". After being shown a video clip that didn't yet exist, his opinion nonetheless remained the same.

Various site sponsors began taking orders on F54K.

And I just spent a quarter of an hour typing without my underpants. For real.
