NEW Sony A7s Cine LUT

I've owned the A7S since July now, until recently I've had a tough time trying to grade S-LOG 2 footage.

With my new custom LUT, That shouldn't be a problem.

It's based around the default Slog-2/ S-Gamut Profile, the only modification being +23 Saturation.

Since I've invested so much time into this, I've decided to sell it. But only for a small price:

I hope this helps you guys out there.

Looks great. I personally would dial back the saturation a bit as the skintones look a little oversaturated for my taste, but it still looks great with your settings.

What happens if you bump up the saturation in camera by only +15 ?

In my experience +23 gave me the best options in post. I always felt the colour was too brittle if i tried to add it later, Better to tone it down in post.

Might I suguest you make a second lut with the saturation dialed back then to include in your package. I think it might help you move a few more since my first reaction was "great, but a little too saturated"

I'm going to release a quick grading tutorial, I'm not to sure it really requires an additional LUT. Rather just an adjustment on fast colour corrector bringing down the saturation to 80 or 85.

Can I use your LUT in Final Cut Pro X? I am particuarly interested in the results of your next LUT that you describe as "experimental version of this LUT, That desaturates the colours past a certain brightness level"

Not sure why anyone would have a problem with reducing saturation in post. Fine tune to taste but you get the benefit of recording the color data before compression. Great job, Terrance, this is a nice orange/teal LUT with the right amount of care. Definitely will be adding it to my bag this week.

Thanks, I didn't really understand why you wouldn't reduce the saturation in post either. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what you produce with it. I seriously considered buying the gh4 at one point because of your videos.
