New snippets, plus photo of the JVC on a shoulder!

Hmmm, maybe I´ll have to take back some of my praise for the JVC. The camera almost looks to small, looks like one will get an uncomfortable shooting position. To me it looks like your right hand are forced very close to your body, due to the smal size of the camera.
Then again, I guess I´ll have to wait and try it out for my self, hard to judge from one picture.

If you remember the reason why the viewfinder on the HVX is so high, so our arms and elbows dont have to stick so far...less fatique.

So I guess thats the same thing here, rest your arms on your body... hey, we have a lazy cameraman

Actually, to me it does look a bit on the smallish side. I'm no terribly big guy, just broad shouldered is all, about 5'11-6'ft tall. Today I'm going to try and film a lot of NAB and I'll try and give you some perspective on what I'm talking about. Just need to talk to Chris Hurd about putting some clips up on DVInfo.net and then the post will most likely be ported over here. Well, I'll get back to my comp later tonight, until then.

The JVC seemed like a PD170 but longer to me. When sitting next to an HVX it'll look smaller because the HVX200 is FAT. If you think the DVX100 is too small then the JVC is too small for you. Since it is a longer camera shoulder mounting for run and gun is possible. It might actually have the best ergonomics of the 3. I really hate to say this, but I thought the Panny was the ugliest of the 3.. though I'm still leaning towards it. It doesn't look BAD or anything, but it isn't as pretty as the Sony or the JVC to my eye.

The Panny needs to get rid of the 60's 'future' styling of the front of the viewfinder. It looks hideous. Looks like something from a vacuum cleaner designer.

Oh my God, a picture of Jan!!! So weird.

What did you think she would lool like?
Read her messages and the tone of these messages and then look at that picture again... Still surprised? Can't be.

Hi Jan,
any pix with you and the cam alone? Would fancy one or two to complement my article.
