New skatefairy hvx clip

Love the look of your website http://www.jamestmather.com

The trailer for LONELY SKY looks sweet. Looks like a good movie to watch. I love those movies based before and just after world war 2... Thise where the times mankind really experiemented with flight, endurance and the bond between man and machine....

I was just joking.:)

Its not my stuff though, just some stuff I though looked really good.

Nice Footage

Nice Footage

Beautiful stuff. Best skate stuff I've seen here. Nice job. Skateboard dolly? Wide Angle lens? 48 or 60fps.

Crystal Clear.

Other users should keep personal feelings to themselves this is not the place. Judge the work not the morals.

Why is this not the place? Work is also (mostly) the content - I don't need to revisit a forum to see what degree of clarity a 3 chip consumer camera provides or what kind of shot a skateboard dolly provides. I disagree with your assessment of what constititues "the work" - I come here to judge content also. Contentwise I wasn't interested in the work having seen the shot of the dead rabbit. Is that okay by you?

Thanks a mil FF - much appreciated. The director Nick Ryan - is a lovely guy and can be contacted through the lonely sky website : http://www.alonelysky.com/contact.html
If you dropped him an email letting him know you like his film, I'm sure he would be delighted and send you a DVD of it.

I feel the DVX forum is here to discuss the process of production and at no time should my personal feelings about content come into play when someone asks me to look at footage. I can comment on everything in the frame but not the story surrounding the frame. I may prefer flowers in the breeze over the shotgun blast to the head but if the lighting is good and shot composed well I'd say great job!. I may not like the blast to the head but I feel it's not my place to judge the content. He asked me to look at the footage not the content.

IMDB for critique. DVX user for production.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm glad you feel that way - I disagree with you and if content is offensive to me I reserve the right to state that it is. Further I take exception to other forum members (particularly junior members with 13 posts) telling me that "this is not the place".

This is a forum for free exchange of ideas - who are you to say that "Other users should keep personal feelings to themselves. . . . . Judge the work not the morals.". Within the guidelines set by the mods I'll state my opinion if I like. Additionally it's not the morals I'm commenting on - I find the content offensive and from where I am sitting content and process are inseperable. I don't come to this forum just to see someone frame and focus a shot on a home video camera - any fool can do that - I come here to see ideas.

If you don't want to do something (not judge the story etc) - fine, don't do it - but where do you get off telling me what to do?
