Hi all,
I got hold of some shoulder stock rigs from a factory in China that are in similar fashion to Zacuto's Strikers (US$800+) or Wondlan's Snipers (US$400+). I've used this rig for everyday hand-held or event shoots. They're very light, made of aluminum and offer moderate stability. They're no Zacutos, but are sturdy enough to do the job.
But I've also got hold of some unique shutter release pistol grip triggers designed for Lumix cameras. But as GH1/2 shooters may know, shutter release remotes also enables video recording. I am now combing the rig and grip together - the grip being the rig's main handle. As a shooter with the GH2, this is something I've been looking for a long time. I think I may call it the 'Tactical Rig'?
So wouldn't it be nice and convenient to click the trigger to record video instead of having to constantly reach over to that tiny record button on top of the camera? Canon shooters have another reason to be jealous!
The parts have not been finalised yet but below is a sneak preview:
I am now figuring a way to extend the cable so you can mount the trigger to the right side more (it's on the left now). I may also add a second grip on either side.

*EDIT*
Sorry, I didn't realise I was breaking forum rules by allegedly "profiteering".
Well let's just say this is a 'hypothetical' rig that may or may not be for sale on a certain online trading website... peace out. I won't be replying on posting on this thread anymore.
