This is the new model of Nipros shoulder mount. They had one for the EX3 and hve now updated to one for the PMW 300. Looks like a nice unit for news and doc shooters with lots of options. Robert Ott of Samaserve the North American distributor http://www.niprosam.com said his team will have it on demo it at NAB this year and it should be in a couple of outlets for sale before then. For those of you wondering, since I asked as well, the power supply from the v-locks batteries has been tested and has a circuit that makes it PMW300 so no worries about power. Not sure if they are supplying the BNC cables with interconnect the camera to the unit.
If anyone gets a chance to try it out please post or let me know. I was hoping to see a review that discusses ergonomics and balance etc.

Not sure if you know the price but it's in the area $1500 US and you provide the cables. I asked the distributor in the USA to send me or someone a model to test. He said a couple months ago they did not have stock to do that. I went with a Shape V-Lock quick release plate for around $500 at BH.
My concern with the Nipros unit is the same as I have with the Shape one. The viewfinder on the PMW 300 does not move far enough forward to allow center balance of the camera. I am hope someone will come out with an adapter or fix for it. Though I have not as I said used the Nipros the lack of a review and photos and video showing the viewfinder side in detail are what worry me along with the price. But if anyone takes the plunge please post!
