So the client wished for a certain look, hence heavy grading ... on hindsight possibly could have shot this with any camera !
Shot on Af 100 and some 5D Mk 11. with some Zeiss and a Red Zoom.
This footage was pulled from a narrative piece we have been working on .
Hence ..my choice of shots for this edit was limited.
The soft focus and the not so steady shots are distracting for me . But ......

Looks good!
It did the job and got my interested in Spragwerks. I never imagined a jewelry-making operation to be so grimy so I wanted to know more.
The compositions, color treatment, lighting, and even shakiness effectively added to the grime.

I really like it. Well cut together in my opinion and to make jewelry making interesting, sounds like a feat. Job accomplished however! I was captivated completely by the video.

The grading is very interesting would like to know a bit more background on it if possible and potential light setups to make it possible. Thanks!

Thank you for your encouraging words. Yes this was a last minute edit culled from a longer narrative piece, So I was using shots original storyboarded for the narrative piece , and not this short "commercial " ! like piece.,
Not the best way to approach a project, as the shot choices dictated the edit and not the other way around.
Shot with the AF100 and 5D, using zeiss glass , 50 , 85, 28, tokina 11-16 and a red 18-50 also I think there was a Zeiss 100 in there somewhere. Biggest issue for me was matching or making the day and night time footage
sit on the same timeline without too much of a jarring effect.
Light used , some practicals , Diva Kino flow , and a couple of light panels , for the night time shots , the welding etc , I wanted a cave like look, the alchemist in his den, so we did a lot of testing, there was bizarre color temperature
changes happening during the torching sequences, basically ended up just using the touch as the light source for those shots.
Shot using Able CIne clean settings ....we did not try and match the 5D , as we were not going to use that footage , on hind sight I think it would have been less of a pain in post to have done that in camera.
edited on FCP and Heavy grading using Red Giant looks , and some color .

Thanks again
