?????? I have no idea what he's talking about???

I thought it was excellent. Composition was great, audio was superb, acting was solid, and the story was very well executed. Great job, this was one of the better shorts I've seen around.

I don't get what tradur's talking about either. Maybe just joking around. I thought it was pretty good. Composition and lighting was decent. The audio in the scene where he first meets the girl wasn't that great, but overall it was fine. I liked the story idea. I'll take away from it what I think it means, rather than asking for your interpretation. That's what I like about shorts. They don't have to mean the same thing to everyone, and they can be taken in so many different ways as they're usually not a complete story like a feature.

thanks for the comments. i've got some cleaner sound for that first meeting of the couple that i just need to sync in (i captured on minidisc and there's no timecode to match so i've been putting it off). color correction/image adjustment has been an issue. the image looks great on my TV but too dark everywhere else. i'm not sure what to calibrate to.
we had a glidecam for the shots in the parking garage though it was our first time using it. most dialogue shots were on a tripod. running up the bleachers was done handheld, no shoulder rig or glidecam, and for the jogging outside i mounted a camera to my tripod at full extension and had my camera guy prop it out a car window, secured by some rope.

The compostion was execellent. I'm guessing the character's goal was to make a decision on the relationship to take it to another level. So I guess he was thinking about that when he was working out on the punching bag and running the bleachers.

so i just screened my short, working out, at a film festival here in LA on a beta SP transferred from mini dv. the transfer looked really under saturated and flat. does anyone know if this is a common result from a miniDV to betaSP transfer? or did i just get a improper transfer. when i watch the short on my calibrated television, everything pops nicely. thanks.
