One of the better shorts I have seen. The lighting was lacking :p I know, we all an't have an Arri kit. The music was sharp and the comp and editing was engaging enough for me to want to watch and finish what I was watching.

I liked the last shot with the tension music and then pan to black. Nice. The talent was actually good. Really. Both actors seemed really good. Not great, but better than most.

..i though the acting was good as well. ( though they seemed a little camera conscious ) i liked the feel of the whole thing. well done.

Thanks for the feedback! This was more of a practice film for me (hence it being written in 30 minutes), because I had not shot a film yet on my new DVX100A, or with some of my new sound/lighting equipment.

I begin shooting my third feature, "University Heights" this weekend, so I put this together quickly as an experimental film, more or less.

I enjoyed this a lot. Nice execution with dramatic effect. Although concept wise, I did feel like I was watching something inspired by Golum in the two towers ;) Good luck on the feature!

One question: What's the music from? Sounded familiar but I couldn't place it.

I liked the outdoors scene better than the indoors...

one shot I really liked was the shot behind the fence or whatever that was... good editing choice in that scene was well with cutting to long shots and cutting back. Gives you just enough of a jolt to increase the agitation the short guy gives...

The music is from "A:I" but that is only temporary. I have a new soundtrack put in by another composer who did work on our last feature, "For Always," and surprisingly enough, it works just as well as John Williams'!
