Hey Guys,

its been a while since my last post but here is a new short i just shot. there was no pay it was more of a personal project that todd had and asked me to jump on board.

check it out at

http://ulteriorproductions.com/

its on the front page.

let me know what u think,
it was shot with the hvx200 w/ a mini35, the hpx500 and stock hvx200. with nikon glass and personal gear.

Vahe

Vahe,
Really well done. Had to watch it twice to pay attention to the filmmaking because I got caught up in the story. Good shot choices and movement, particularly liked how the camera finds the girl at the mall. The dreamy soft focus start seems to suffer from the compression making it softer than intended (I'm guessing) which kind of put me off a bit, but it quickly recovers.
Great work by everyone.

Nice story. I could have liked some more black in the shadows, but the dof was good executed, maybe sometimes to shallow, but nice to the nice story.

Also nice music choices.

I really hoped that it would lead to something like she said ;)

Goodie

thanks guys, i appreciate all your feedback. ya i agree the blacks shoudve been crushed a bit more. did anyone notice that the resturant scene was shot in 2 different places. the wide was the actuall location but the CU were all shot in my buddies garage. we had a couple of c stands holding up some branches so the background had more color.

like i said there was no budget on this project, and when i first heard the concept i was like what?!?! but i became a believer when i saw the first cut.

its actually getting like 20-40k hits a day on collegehumor.com.

That was hilarious. A very clear style running through the entire thing. Really enjoyed it. It's funny because I was actually getting a whole It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia vibe from the entire piece and then their theme music came on and it seemed completely natural.

Kudos!

the director cc'ed the thing with final cut but i dont know what steps he took, i wasnt involved. thank you for your comments.

WOW that was TOOooooo funny. Great work. NO BUDGET I wonder what you guys can do with $250,000 .... Keep up the good work. P.S. Do you have a URL,,, i need that on my iphone :)

thanks for the positive feedback. its up in youtube, vimeo and several other sites. i dont know the exact URL. hope that helps.

Wow man, nice style to it.

Love the edit/camera work, specially on that phone shot.

Thanks for sharing,

Robbie

Great job on the short! It was hilarious!

Also, what's the name of the song at the end?

Anyone know name of the song at the end of this. I guess it's a scat song, but I can't place it, and I don't have a google phone to figure it out-drat! Gotta get me a google phone!:)
