New Short -- An Experiment in Motion *6 MINUTE VID

Synopsis: This short is about the exploration of motion through the use of various camera shots and editing techniques.

I did the film An Experiment in Motion because I wanted to get some experience with various camera shots and editing techniques. I also wanted to become a better editor and learn my way around Premiere Pro. Looking back I think I've definitely improved a lot in Premiere Pro after doing this short. I had a total of around 7 tapes that I edited down. Some parts as long as 10-30 seconds took 30 minutes to an entire 1 hour tape to get.

Anyways, here it is if you'd like to check it out....

I like how you got it to look like degraded film (the colors i mean), what were your scene file settings, or did you do it all in post?

good video by the way, I like how the movements and editing were on par with the tempo of the song.

Thanks homer. It was shot with a DVX100. I got the degraded film look from a Magic Bullet plugin for After Effects. The added effects include microscratches, splotches, vignetting, flicker and dust.

I created the song myself in Fruity Loops and actually made changes to the song and film in the timeline so they'd match a little better.
