new sequence

I am still logging clips now but when I start editing I am going to need to open another new sequence from the original one for some of the footage to be edited separately from the rest of the stuff I am putting together. Now will my presets/settings be the same for the 2nd sequence or will I have to go in and select a 23.98 timeline with Advance Pulldown removal like I did for the initial sequence?

Re: new sequence

you can always just save your current sequene under a different name using the "save as" command to essentially copy it thenit will all be the same.

Re: new sequence

Once you set your prefs then whe nyou create sequences they shoudl use the same settings. I recommend double checking the sequence settings after you create it just to be safe.

Re: new sequence

Ok just to clarify, I am importing a lot of footage and the majority of that footage will be editing in the original sequence. I have some footage of something else that was taking place at the same event but I wanted to edit that apart from the main video. I already know how to open a new sequence I guess I need to make sure the settings are the same once I open it like what was suggested.

Re: new sequence

When you start a make a new sequence, it should default to whatever you have set. So if you think that the sequence you are working on has different settings than what is in your default, maybe you should just duplicate your sequence and then change the name on the second one and erase what is in it, then you will have a sequence with the same settings as the one you duplicated.
