New Rode Lavalier Microphone

I've had no problems with the Senn G3! Check the micon is screwed in all the way, check the PinMic is lugged into all 3 pins solidly. Check that the Senn lav still works in the transmitter to rule that out.

Seems like there is a short in the Micron-1 connector. If I unscrew the mic in portion of it, it will suddenly come to life. I have no problems with it on the XLR connection.

Hey Gary,

is it so hard to actually read the posts in the thread you're replying to? Here's what I wrote about this issue (which in fact others have had too) some months ago:

Hey Eric,

I have had exactly the same issue, though I was using a SK100 G3! Here's the thing: Rode has revised the Micon-1 since they realized it doesnt fit well with some Senn receivers. I contacted them directly through their website and they said they'll send me a new one for free, since it isnt clear which retailer has the new and who sells the older version. But don't worry, Rode will help you I'm sure.
Chris

So, now that you've read this, like me, you got one of the old Micon-1 connectors. Write to Rode via their website and they'll replace it with a revised connector. And next time read! :)

Perhaps you should do a little reading yourself.

I just got a PinMic (from Adorama) and the Micron-1 from B&H. It works great with the Micron-5 XLR adapter, but not the Micron-1 plugged into the Sennheiser SK 100 (G3). It plugs in just fine and the connection feels just as solid as the lav that came with the Sennheiser, but I get no signal from the PinMic at all. Does this sound similar to anyone else's problems?

The issue in the thread was that the plug was not the same in physical dimensions as the Sennheiser lav. No mention was made as to whether or not a single was coming in through the lav. In fact, the plug on my PinMic was exactly the same size as the Sennheiser lav. In addition, no one said anything about whether their Sennheiser transmitter was receiving a signal from the lav, regardless of how solid the connection seemed.
