New Rain Cover for AF100 & F3

Hope you checked them out at resellerratings.com.
They've gotten pretty poor reviews, the merchant not the raincover.

If your work has you shooting in the elements very often then I say get the nicest rain cover you can afford.
Otherwise let me do a little trash talking and say... I have found it a good idea to carry plastic garbage bags for temporary camera protection.
Add a little weather proof duct tape and heavy visqueen to the equation and you can custom build inexpensive splatter proof protection for almost any camera.

All the Best!

So, maybe you'll let us know how it fits the AF100? Hope you like it.

Please let me know how your rain cover works out I am curious as I agree the portabrace is way too expensive.

Haven't had a chance to test it in the rain, but it fits well; including lens opening and access to the viewfinder. Tried it out both on a tripod and hand-held with the LCD open for all testing. I don't normally use a camera-mounted mic so I didn't check it out, but provision is there for that as well and it looks like it would be a good fit. And the build quality is very good.

Lots of room to maneuver inside. If you want, you can remove the lower boot (easy to get on and off) to get full and open access to the camera from the bottom while still providing complete coverage. Or you can leave that on and cinch it up nice and tight to help seal the cover from the bottom to prevent wind-whipped rain from entering. Even with the bottom boot in place and cinched up it still doesn't feel cramped up top where you need to access all the controls.

Also, the top handle is accessible with the cover still providing an overlap for protection, although I don't think I'd want to risk that in severe conditions.

I like it. In fact, I'm ordering another one for my 2nd cam.
