wow, that is a sweet camera. I've always wanted a camera that compact but with innerchangable lenses. I was never a big fan of the look on the XL1.
 
I'm surprised how small it is! Quite impressive.

Is it just me, or does it have some sort of strange built-in earpiece?
 
I own the JVC GY-DV5000u and I find that it is difficult to shoot and monitor the audio at the same time with headphones because the phones bump against the body of the camera when you have it mounted on your shoulder. The 5000u has an on-board speaker on the body of the camera which conveniently goes right up against your ear as you shoot with the camera on your shoulder. So, the addition of adding an actual cupped earpiece to the body of the HD100 seems like a rather brilliant idea to me. Save the headphone monitoring when you have the camera locked down on a tripod or on a steady rig.

The earpiece keeps the camera from leaning in when it touches your ear.
And the camera is a sexy little ***** :thumbsup:
