New PC Won't Recognize CF Card

Hi guys,

I have searched until I am blue in the face, but I have not found any answers. I called Sandisk and they were stumped. We just finished a new PC for editing and this is the only problem we have had. I can hook a USB cable to the camera and it will see and recognize the 5D Mark ll, but on both of my Sandisk card readers I can get no love. On two laptops and two older PCs when I slide the CF card into the card reader it pops up onto the desktop an auto play window that reads: EOS_DIGITAL (G) and it lists out several options like; import pictures and videos or open folder to view files. But, the new machine does not pop open this screen. Instead I have to go to my computer and it shows up as "Removable Disk" instead of "EOS_DIGITAL". When you double click on "Removable Disk" you get: Please insert a disk into Removable Disk.

The new machine consists of:

ASUS P8Z68 DELUXE LGA 1155 R
GTX 560i 2G
INTEL CORE I7 2600K 3.4G 8MR
Corsair 850W RT
Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B
Crucial 128G SSD for the boot drive
Crucial 64G SSD for the scratch drive
Two 500G 7200 rpm drives for storage

All of the computers have Windows 7 Professional and the new machine has Adobe Premiere Suites 5.5

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Boy, sure sounds like perhaps the drivers for those card readers were not loaded properly on your new machine. Also sounds like you may have a plug and play issue. If you built it yourself, then you prob know where to find and resolve those 2 potential probs.
