This has already been discussed extensively. It's the "Super-8 HD camera".. :D

I don't think Panasonic is expecting to ship this until mid-2005, assuming it gets beyond the mock-up stages.

No problem IMO. They have 60p DVCPRO 50!

I'll convert that to 24p anyday!

actually it does have 24p. my film teacher has people he knows working in the television department @ panasonic. Apparantly That camera is not on the highest priority right now, but he said it will have 24p. he says all he knows is what he hears through the company because none of the testing is going on in the states. he says finished product is going to be finished around end of 2005, on the market by summer/fall 2006.

WHAT?! thats strangley similar if not identical to HDV (25 Mb/s) and also HDV2 (50 Mb/s)

education and sports

WHAAAAT?! so not for filmakers then :-/
