Live stream seems to be up. Press conference should be starting within minutes.

Interesting marketing emphasis on "...for the Real World".

Thx!

Finally, an upgraded HPX500. The MicroP2 looks nice to.
No AF200 or AF100 with an upgraded sensor though... Interesting.

Wow, they're charging $250 for 1080p60 capability in the AF100! That should be free, since it's in the AVCHD 2.0 spec. For the money they should have updated the camera to 10-bit output and come up with log profiles. Very underwhelming. I suspect Barry Green will disagree.

Seems to be:

1) "Acquisition in the 1080/60p and 1080/50p HD recording formats (in new 28Mbps PS mode)"

2) "Substitution of the 2.39:1 aspect ratio marking for the current 2.35 marker."

I wonder if "Acquisition" means 60p on SDI out??

Finally, they're upgrading the dinosaur HPX500. I hope those are full-rez 1920x1080 CMOS chips.
It's an interesting variation of the HPX370/3100 body design. But it loses the side monitor and adds a flip-up EVF, like the Sony PMW-350.
Upgradeable to AVC/Ultra! All under 7 lbs. Nice!

So is this is for Panasonic for NAB? No AF100 replacement? Or could there be more announcements later on in the week?

Here's the big one: HPX-600
I repeat, underwhelming. No big-sensor announcement, other than gouging for adding AVCHD 2.0 to the AF100. They first announced AVC-Ultra in 2009 and updated it late last summer. Other than the nifty 4K camera mockup, very little new info.
