Hi everyone, im movie maker from Latvia(Kind of small country) And im lucky to found this forum, its amazing, full of fs100 users, brilliant!
I was shoot before with Z1e and then EX3, then DSLR comes, but didnt want them, so im happy to stay with sony.

Anyway have some questions about this, because lenses world is new for me.

1) I want buy Rokinon 35mm 1.4 like first lense(i have orginal kit now) But cant get wich one needs to buy, have Canon/Nikon and Sony possibles, cant get witch one is right, i found adapters too, now need ur help to figure wich one i take.

2) I need something at start to help shooting, like this -> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320942916...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2648#ht_4448wt_1111 (This one is cheap, but meybe can offer something better)

3) What you can recommended about lenses/kit, what needs at start!
(Sorry for my english, still learning this, but hope u guys get what im trying to tell ^^)

Thanks
Dvxuser place is brilliant.

If you have not bought the FS100 yet I would buy it with the kit lens first 18-200mm it's not a fast lens but
it's not bad for what it is and it will cover most of your focal range, in addition it's pretty sharp for a stock lens and very good for run and gun work.
That being said you can work on shopping for used manual lens's on ebay and various other places. At least
you will be able to do some very good work while you shop.

Hi Robyworks! I do my run&gun and all the basic with kit lens. Good stabilized lens for shoulder work. Own 35mm Samyang (rokinon) and few canon lenses with metabones v1 adapter (works really well). Personally I prefer canon L series leses - they are sharp, veratile and futureproof. But with many adapters available you can get almoust every lens to work with your fs100. Btw i'm from Estonia.. Not far from Latvia :)

I personally love the novoflex nex-Nikon adapter, very good quality. You have the option to manually control the iris from the adapter, and Nikon I believe has the best line up of glass for the price and a majority of there lens have manual iris control.

Hah, small world :D

Thanks for reply, its realy important for me, feel like full newbie here, im searching for gadget to shoot from upside(like camera downside) in standart its imposible, only way to put hand on mic and shoot...

Greetings from Latvia, anyway if u someday want shoot something at Latvia give me know! :)

If you're on a tight budget, Tamron makes a decent 18-200, cheaper than the kit lens, but no OIS or autofocus. I'd recommend trying to learn to focus manually, even when run & gunning. It'll take some practice, but you'll be a better shooter for it. Second the recommendation for the Novoflex/Nikon combo, the adapter is solid and the lenses hold their value.
