FS7: New Odyssey "patch" firmware

New firmware "patch release" just issued. This is a tiny but important update. It addresses some FS7/FS700 RAW->ProRes issues (including the lines on the screen in UHD mentioned in this group) as well as improves touchscreen calibration.

There is a regular firmware update coming soon, which will include Dual-Stream functions as previously announced.

Log into the Convergent Design website to download the new firmware. It is recommended for all Odyssey owners.

Mitch, is the ability to record a LUT something that may be an upcoming feature?
For FS7 in custom mode using Slog3 it would be a way to burn in a LUT and have white balance at the same time.

This is something we are planning to add in the future. We purposefully did not include it in the original update of the Odyssey LUT System for fear that clients might accidentally bake it into their footage without intending to.

I understand that as a concern. There would need to be some kind of clear warning on screen. But if that was done well then it would be fine, and of course very valuable at least on the FS7/5/55.

Thanks Mitch - I hope it comes soon.
7Q just keeps getting better. Can't wait for that 5Q EVF :)

Hi Mitch,
I understand It's a huge processing job but is there any chance to improve the 2KHFR toHD proress function? At the moment it's almost useless, too many debayer artifacts (not considering the sony downscaling issues maybe solvable with fw 3.0).
Thank you all for your great work!
