New MxM card for Ex1/EX3

I was just wondering if it was possible to shoot all my footage to a sXS card and then just transfer the files over to a MxM card waiting in the second slot. is it possible for the ex1 to do this? Because then i dont need to take a laptop to the field and i can film at any speed i require.

Yes you can, this is the process documented here (just ignore all the overcranking info):

The problem is the copy process is a clip by clip process. You can't simply select an option to copy one card to another all in one step.

The clip copy process is assessable in media mode (click on a clip and a menu pops up, one of the options is 'copy').

thx guy. That is just fine, why pay for an SxS card when its only purpose as far as i can see is too be used when overcranking. I read another comment from you where you said Sony needs to look carefully at this and release a card that is meant for normal recording. your spot on correct. The SxS card that comes with the camera is now gonna be my overcranking card.
