New MxM card for Ex1/EX3

no, paypal dispute doesn't work in this case, they've said they can't refund

Hi Serge,

I wanted to know why your cards weren't delivered.

When I went back to the original email confirmation, your cards were ordered 6th of January, and shipped the 7th of January, actually by me.

It seems the address information was imcomplete or incorrect, and the Post Office was unable to deliver it.

Is this right so far?

Then it was sent back to Australia, but I have no record of it arriving here.

So it looks like it was sent, but not delivered, but not returned either.

Well I'm happy to send the cards to replace the order that appears on the face of it to be lost somewhere, by either Australia Post or USPS.

Let me know what you want me to do.

... Yes my posting on the other forum was removed and unfortunately I can't do much about that and I hope this won't occur on this forum....

It shouldn't be, unlike that other forum, this one isn't cencored to the admins personal gain.

Were you banned as well? It would be pretty consistant behaviour from CH if you were.

Once again , folks, let's please not re-open the discussion of other forums and their admins.

I am not taking any "sides" here but suffice it to say, there is some form of business competition which is playing itself out. I don't want to have to try to ascribe motivation.

Sorry Ned, didn't mean to go down there, its just such an easy path to be diverted onto. As far as I can see here Ned, both Ross and Marek are welcome in these parts which makes this the best forum for all ;-)

Thanks guys. I'm not here as well to make any disparging comments about any other parties. Yes, my posting was taken off and so was another person's post on the same subject whom I don't know or have any previous association with...I just have to live with this. The whole idea was to just to clarify the situation and move on with MxM cards. From now, people will have freedom on choice and as I said in my previous post in November 08 that there is nothing wrong with competition.

Exactly,... it's a big deal though, especially to people who bought the cards and want to know where's their order and what's going on, looking from their prospective I guess.

Absolutely it wasn't your fault, it was USPS malfunction. UPS and Fedex deliver to me with no prob.

I think it's time to make insurance claim of lost package

thanks no need so far, some refund will be better

I ordered three cards a few days ago and recieved an e-mail about the order and another e-mail that they have been shipped.

No issues here.

I ordered 2 cards from Ross and picked them up personally. This isnt the normal procedure but Ross was very accommodating and seems like a real nice guy, conversely, I'm sure that Marek is a pleasure to do business with as well.

Sorry I know this is a MxM thread but I just got a quick question related to the subject.

I got my first KxR today, 24p/48fps works like a clock.. however 52fps failed after 2 minutes..

Almost like a belive that KxR and 60fps will be fine for shooting snowboard since the clips are so short.. The datarate limit seams to occur after some sort of buffert underun. And 95% of all the clips where i shoot the riders are tricks and few are more than 5-10 sec.. maby-byby...

MxM, MxR, and K&S can only record 48 fps tops without issues. If you want over that you use SxS.

Hi everyone, off the topic slightly, a hiccup with sending emails. Orders are still going out but I'm sending my confirmations with an alternative for now. Sorry for that, I've replied to heaps of emails but I don't know if they went thru to you guys. I'm working with my provider to rectify asap.

On a brighter note, I've been looking at a new device to help EX1/EX3 users to transfer several express cards adapters at the same time. Would you guys be interested in lets say, pc based or stand alone where you can offload several express cards at the same time?

At this stage we are talking only USB interface. I'm getting a few samples to test, which are a combination of PCI/e interface & USB which I will test with SxS and other express cards. I'll let you know how it goes.

It's still in testing mode, so nothing def. Anybody got any other ideas for offloading?

Kind regards,
Marek

I assume such a device would be a data transfer only, it wouldn't combine cards together into a single folder like Clip Browser does?

Hi Guy B,

Data at this stage, your idea is fantastic. I don't think that, that will work yet, I will talk to developers and see what they say. But if you had lets say a device with 4 slots for expresscards they would show up in the clip browser lets say, A B C D and all you have to do is select from which drive you want to offload the material.

I think that's how it would work, I might be wrong tho.

As I thought. Its a shame that clip browser can't work wilth multiple source folders.

Just to let everyone know, we are recieving new MxM labeled cards and I'll be shipping new orders from Monday (16th March). Unfortunately, our manufacturer of MxM cases has moved the production date yet again, and I will find out when the orange cases are going to be shipped soon. Having recieved the samples, I can say that the cases will be almost as good as the Sony ones, and they will protect MxM cards or any other express card from environmental & mechanical damage.

I'm sorry for the hold up with the cases. I am doing my best to push the manufacturer to come up with the goods.

Hi Guys,

I have been away from this site for a while, I've been trying to solve the problem with Sandisk 32GB Ultra 2 Class 4 memory cards. As you all know, some users were sucessful with 32GB Ultra 2 Class 2 memory cards but somehow Sandisk have managed to change something in their production for MxM or MxR to not be able to format the card. I know the Transcend 32GB Class 6 is working - which is great news. However, I've been working on this issue with Sandisk for a while, and I'm getting my manufacterer to look at the situation so hopefully I'll be able to report good news soon.

I've been testing Sandisk 32GB Ultra 2 Class 4 on an EX1 and appart from formatting issue, I am able to use it sucessfully with MxM cards. In other words, there is a way to use Sandisk 32GB Ultra 2 Class 4 on EX1 and EX3 cameras. I've done about 50 hours of non-stop recording with Sandisk 32GB, and innitially after recording 15 minutes of footage I encountered a media error but I found work around to record 115 minutes non stop without any media error with Sandisk 32GB Ultra 2 Class 4 memory cards.

I will post information as soon as I conclude another 50 hours of testing, as I want to make sure that my findings will be guarenteeing error free recording.

In a nut-shell, I am using MxM card with Sandisd 32GB Ultra 2 Class 4.

Please be patient, I will post my findings and work around once I have concluded my final test done with MxM and Sandisk 32GB.
