New Music Video

check it out before it hits tv later in the week

Hopefully not my tv. too many zooms for me, also couldn't understand a word the singer was screaming into the mic. Maybe an HD version would be better, youtube sucks.

I guess in trying to keep with the intensity of the music you decided to make the shots speratic. Would have been a lot cooler if done in moderation and used to accentuate. It's like the old saying goes, sometimes less is more :)

I know you had nothing to do with the music, so be proud. Of not having anything to do with the music that is. This has got to be one of the worst bands I have ever seen or listened to in my entire life. And - I've seen and listened to some godawful bands. I guess if you can't sing at all then srceam a lot.

Sorry - it had to be said.

In keeping w/ Kamikaze's statement, just because you have a zoom doesn't mean you have to use it. Think about parking the shot every now & then. I realize it's tempting to want to play off the music but you need to show some confidence with at least some of the framing. Even if just to hold it for a little beat here ad there.

The staging area is always at more than arm's length. And farther out than that. Next time around, consider isolating a drum hit or guitar string... something. I guess if you did go in tighter then we'd actually have to see what these guys look like, so maybe you did us a favor by staying away. Again - I apologize. It's late. That band really irked me.

how old are you guys?

lol... I know. I had to listen to that song for 3 weeks.

I tried to shoot and make camera movement with the intensity and tempo of the song. When the label showed me their other music videos, they were all locked down shots on stupid euro deathmetal guys. I thought it sucked and the lack of camera movement made it even cheeser.

I may of went alittle overboard. but the label is now paying me to do two more musicvideos and the only critics i've heard (only in technical aspects) are you guys.
i know the music sucks.

I really appreciate the feedback. thanks.

oh yeah. another funny note.

The singer didn't even know what he was singing about. I guess the band had a old singer that quit who wrote that song. He never told the band what he was writing about. But the bassist told me that back when he first introduced the song to the band to play. He was really into old western movies then and the song is called "pale horses ride".

I tried to figure out what the hell he was saying when i was writing the treatment. I gave up and decided to go on a "ringu" knock off.
haha.

But in all honesty. the band is really a bunch of cool guys. Their having fun. getting drunk and laid. the rockstar life.

Their on tour right now and did quite well at metalfest.

Glad ya got some gigs. Having to hear that music for 3 weeks... never mind 3 minutes would make me pull out the sword and do a 4 point cut dead center in my being...

you must have the patience of Job... The music is so all over the place. Melodically... and structurally with some parts that sound like Bill and Ted's adventure before they learn to rock. The vocals too... Yikes. I've always hated that growl style of singing...

Again though... BIgtime congrats on getting more paying gigs. Do they pay ya well.. and if not, it would be time to insist on such. Also, technically it's hard to say anything because the music is so overpoweringly bad that it mute kind of..
