HERE IS A WAY BETTER VERSION OF THE VIDEO... http://www.vimeo.com/420362

hey guys check out this music video i shot during the summer.

a lot of it is blown out because the producer made the mistake of getting permits for the wrong side of the street that was basically shady all day. and all i had were shiny boards, and the worst part of it was that there was heavy traffic so the sun would bounce off the cars and hit the talent over exposing them sum more. anyways, i can go on forever.

sorry for the youtube quality, i wil ltry to get a better resolution version better.

That's just a really fun vid. Love the dog shapped clouds and the flying shots. THa'ts also one patient and talented dog. Who's it it? Like they say, it's hardest to work with kids and animals. I personally would also add old people to the mix... Man, never again for me.

cheers on a well done and really fun piece. Is it airing anywhere and what's the plans?

I can't imagine how much adding the dogs to the picture complicated things. Very courageous!

Great work!

That was great. That dog must have been very well trained :)
Love the zoom-shot of the dog when he is looking up at the dogface shaped cloud.
Great job!

I loved it. Well shot and well cut. I like the tune also. I never noticed anything blown out because my eye was always focused on the dog.
Once again, nicely done, fun to watch.

As everyone else said, great video! Really well done. Half way through the video I was thinking "man... how the heck did they get the dog to go where they wanted"... must have required a lot of patience! Great song too.

thanks again for all ur comments. i really appreciate it.

ya it was tough, cause we had to give the dog breaks, but it was an overall breeze becausse he was an extremely well trained dog that has done commercials and stuff. half the budget went to the dog, lol. and i just notice mistakes when i see the middle of the video and i know we wouldve had some great stuff on the other side of the street that was basically sunny the whole day. working in shade sucks when u dont have the right gear.

and my director todd, is very pta, in that he always wants to keep the camera moving which is awesome because i love moving the camera. we shot this all on a cheap doorway dolly.

thanks again and happy shooting. i just got the sony and i wiill soon get the red, if u guys need cameras let me know and i will give any dvxuser 20% off.

hey i know you shoot with the redrock all the time as do i. have you ever used it when shooting greenscreen? if so, any problems with it?

great video by the way.

i usually dont, but if i do, i make sure to stop down on the lens in order to get the sharpest edges possible. usually if ur using long lenses the depth is so shallow at wide open that the edges will blur causing it to crop inproperly. id usually take the redrock off.

thanks again for the comments

the dog was pulled with fishing wire. the tough part was making him not jump off. he actually trained with the skateboard for weeks prior to shooting. by the time the shoot came around, he was a pro. better then ryan sheckler and tony hawk.
