the only problem with focusing with the marshall is that is not fully HD, and it is small in size. To be extra careful I always make sure my lens is WIDE OPEN and if its too dark I flash a flashlight at the actors chest and glue the screen to my face and make sure its dead on, then i reset to the dp's desired f stop and place the mark, But after a while you start getting a feel for every lens. Now a days I can usually pop one on and know how fast I have to pull to get to a certain distance. The AF lenses are the really focked up ones where a half circle is the whole focus distance. meaning a mm pull is like 10 feet. thats when ur AC skills come to play, be gentle, be very gentle.
