New music video shot entirely at 240fps. I know, I know, get over it.

its nice, just would have preferred some shots with far less slomo, i understand you wanted to keep the visual style, but i think it would help to 'speed' some of the shots up to 120 & 60

As one of the commenters on youtube said: Absolutely Wonderful. One if the finest music videos I've seen in years, and a delightful song to boot. Had a little Oh Brother Where Art Thou feel which I loved, but for sure it's own unique look and feel as well. I literally wouldn't change a thing. Thank you.

Wonderful piece of work! Love the look.
On what and how did you record the footage and which lenses were used for this project?

It's fantastic. And it's not ALL 240 fps, some scenes look like 60, or maybe sped up 4X . Any way I LOVE THIS!!!!!! And yes the grade is beautiful.

My vote for best thread title in a long time. You know your audience.

Would love to see a BTS on this video, great job!

I was engaged from start to finish. The look and grade worked for me as well. I understand why you gave everyone the heads up on the 240fps....but I wish you hadn't as I watched it with that bias and I STILL liked it....lol!

Nicely done sir!

Who came up with the concept, I am sure many here would love to hear about the details

Wow guys, what a delightful way to start my morning. Thanks so much for the kind words, really appreciate it. The color was done in DaVinci, and the project was shot on AVCHD, I figured the less bulky my rig was the better. We bought an underwater housing for the shoot, just as a precaution, since I was either standing in chest high water or on a handmade wooden raft the entire time. We didn't get any test days with the housing and we immediately figured out it was worthless. So I took it out of the housing and took a gamble, never slipped or fell in so I guess it was worth it. :-|

I used a bunch of different lenses, all Leica with an adapter. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/Lenses/ci/7074/N/4232859812/
Most of the lenses on that first page at BnH where in the bag at one point. The director owns the whole set and really likes the look of them, as do I, a little harder to use on the fly, but I think it's worth it after the fact.

The chest actually had a dead 3 foot water moccasin in it we killed moments before in self defense.

The editor had to go in frame by frame and remove the pull wires as well. Anytime someone flies off the raft they had a chest rig on and a few people on the other side in the water pulling them off. Frame by frame wire removal, took him a few days if I remember correctly.

Holy moly! I've seen the cottonmouths in the lakes in texas!! We deal with rattlesnakes here in NM. Not much better, but, they hate water and can't swim.

Very nice. In challenging conditions you came away with a fantastic piece. Well shot, well composed. Great look. Some Leica lenses cost more than the camera. This shows how good AVCHD can look when it is carefully shot and produced.

Well done... A great piece.
