Wauw... Nice video, beautiful shots.

You know, while I was studying photography, there was always one or two icelandic people on the school as well, and every single one had pretty good taste and perception of beauty.
I attribute that to those guys growing up in spectacular surroundings. I think Iceland along with New Zealand probably are some of the most photogenic countries in the world.'
But I guess that's besides the point since you are from Italy :P

In regards to the clip at 1:20, wide angle with a house in the right. Did you have to pull the shadow highlight sliders a lot or how was the dynamic range? You have a lot of information from one end to the other in that shot which can be tough when shooting into the sun.

Thanks legreve!
Yep, Iceland is a fantastic country.
The 5D MK III DR is very good and with 14 bit RAW footage you have a lot of informations.
God save Magic Lantern!
:-)))))

As a nikon-shooter it really hurt to see such beauty coming from an canon camera with nikon lenses! For this kind of shooting the D800 is not really great as a videocamera, although perfect as a stills camera, IMO.

Looks great, nice eye but some shots look Post Sharpened though. How much sharpness did you add?

I love Nikon lenses and bodies too, but for video purposes, Canon is better and with Magic Lantern RAW is much more better.

Fantastic stuff, FC!

The only thing I saw that looked a little bit "off" was that a few of the landscapes looked a bit HDR-ed for me eye. The beauty of raw is that you have the latitude to bring some of those shadows out and the highlights down, but it just felt a little overdone in a few shots.

But like I said, beautiful stuff, and thanks for posting!

+1
This is the only thing I noticed as well. IMO the footage looks great, but if it were less sharpened it would look more natural and probably still hold up. Would really like a non sharpened version or at least less.
