Other: New major Release for Metabones adapters

I spoke to Metabones recently about an issue unrelated to AF and they made it clear they are working on a new revised design for the adapter. I assume this is include electronics as well as mechanics.
 
Fine - it was more than certain they'd release a new model sooner or later. But I'm not going to buy each and every new model from them - I simply ask someone to confirm or deny whether Push AF is practical on their current Speed Booster with the latest firmware...

Because hardware-wise, the current model is certainly capable of Push-AF; mine did quite well in this regard on the previous firmware. I updated to the V.052, and cannot successfully Push-AF in either mode - if it's a know issue, my next question would be: how to revert to an older firmware?

Hi Ben - I'm thinking about a second Speed Booster (for use with my A7Rii); do you happen to know any details on the new model? How soon is it? Does it make sense to buy the current one now, or should I wait? Thanks,
