... Seriously, where's the girl ?

What I can't figure out is why it's priced 50% higher than the Magiqcam IIa. Hmmmm.....
It was $1650, now it's $2450. Hmmmm. Mr. Investigator is now on the hunt....

the price on the magiqcam jumped up a while ago from the 1700 price. its been in the 2000+ for a while now.. no suprise on the tag for he newest model.

I have no relationship with any of the sellers. Just search keyword steadicam in ebay and found the link.

Paul,
I think you are refering to the M512 Runner.. which is a joke.
The guy has it compleatly incorrectly set up, you are right the sled base shoudl eb front-back not sideways. - that thing can *never* be ndynamic ballance like that. Also check out how he is hodling the righ whiel he is running, he's holding from the *base of the post* not the gimble..
He tried to post a (alledgadly 3rd person) review on the Steadicam forum, got busted really quick for it and responded by attacking other operators on teh forum. After some questioning he admitted that he has used software stabilization on his demo footage.
...He didn't stick around.

The new version of the magiqcam looks preaty well made - an adjustable socket block too.. nice. It will be interesting to to see what reviews it gets...

I must admit that to be a stablizer manufacture is in a very challenge position compare to other enginering product manufactue.

Not only need to make a great product, but need to demo a great video to show excellent performance of the product.

Due to the failure of software stablizer, I realized that I need a hardware stablizer for my dear camera long time ago. It is quite odd that someone do the opposite way to use software to improve performance of hardware stablizer  .
