New Magic Bullet Editors 2, will new owners of DVX100A get it?

Sean from Red Giant here...

Just want to post to clarify a couple of things about Magic Bullet Editors 2.

1. All Magic Bullet Editors 1.x users qualify for the upgrade price($99 download/$149 box), including DVX100 bundle users.
2. Any customer that PURCHASED Magic Bullet Editors 1 from Red Giant Software (or a reseller) after July 1 gets a free upgrade.
3. We accelerate the playback AND output using your graphics card. On Mac, users can use a number of different cards. On Windows, we only support the NVIDIA 6x00 and 7800 lines (and QUADRO) because we get the best speed and quality from these cards.

Hope that helps to clear up the confusion.

BTW: A little birdy told me that when a certain updated DVX100 camera ships in the US this quarter, Magic Bullet Editors 2(!) will be in the box.

Thanks for the clarity Sean. You guys are doing great things for independent filmmakers.

However I am a bit miffed and wish your birdie also had other info for clients like myself, who recently dropped lots of money on an ATI Radeon x850 card (a killer in its own right), about support for more than one type of graphics adapter under Windows.

I hear you dude.. I just got my 7800 and was about to get the new ATI cards (dude your 850 is already old news, can you believe it?) Im glad i got the 7800, it does pretty good hardware acceleration on Hi Def WMV's etc... does alot more to help my editing station that i thought a video card was supposed to, and magic bullet acceleration was a bonus.

oh sure, rub it in man!

this day and age, it's nonsense to support a single chip. i hope red giant looks at the big picture and reconsiders their market with a patch or something. until then im holding off on my purchase.

You guys, haven't you seen the best part of MBE2? The fact that it contains the chroma upsampler that was part of the original full MB package for AE!

you knows whats really cool? I bought an EVGA card, and they have this program that if a new card comes out in the next 6 months after you but it, you can send it back to them and they send you the new one, you just gotta pay the difference (if the card costs more) and shipping.

I dont do alot of greenscreen stuff.. so the chroma upsampler i never used much. good bonus though!
