New Macs

Ha! I can't wait to get a Mac-intel. It will be quite the leap in performance when I finally do so.

That what I'm hoping for!

BTW- for those of you that have to have the latest and greatest, now that Apple has joined forces with Intel you can expect more products delivered quicker. So good luck on keeping up with it all. (I have a friend that works in the server devision of Intel, and he says that they are supposed to have new chips out every 6 months, and the chips are supposed to be out dated within a year to a year and a half.)

I wouldnt buy the Dual Core PowerMac...looks enticing but the Dual core Intels due out in May or June will kick this machines ass!! this was the final chipset from IBM from what I understand so this may be your last chance to use the old PPC chips in a PowerMac...goodbye PPC

Intel Powermacs won't be introduced until 2007 according to Apple's Roadmap. The Quad G5 is going to be the badass on the block for a long time. Buy one now. :)

Gigadesigns also make great G4 and Dual G4 upgrade processors. They can hold their own with the G5's in many tasks.

what do you mean the upcoming 7800 gt.... that card has been out for 6 months.

It has yet to be available in PCIe for Mac. It happened to be in all the press releases for the new PowerMacs, but as of now is unavailable for purchase.

totally agree! just purchased one!

Apple has said that every line of thier computers will be sporting an Intel chip by the end of 2006.

That said, I can't imagine a PowerMac until closer to the end of the year. I'd love to be proven wrong though, that would pretty much make my day.
