Hey Guys,

heres a music video I was 1st AC on, it's shot by the ever so great DP Vinent Pascoe. It was a pleasure working and learning from the HVX+M2 master himself. Check it out,

Vahe:)

ya on the rooftop, i had no whip. It was extremely dificult cause the camera was on a jib. my body was in awkward positions and at most times i couldnt see a monitor, the lens, my marks or reach the barrel to pull. so I had to guestimate the distance and let it ride on its own.

but there are no excuses in filmmaking, i just wish i had a freekin whip. id be a happy guy.

Nice video! Good work!
But the problem as i see it today is that the musicvideo directors are better than the artist. The result is a beatiful video, top notch technical skills and so forth. The final result is good technical video but with loussy artist performance, sometime even the video should never have been made because of the performance of the artist. At least that what i think. This is only due to cheap technology and that younger and younger people are making videos of there friends playing in the local band. Well anyway nice work!

mika, I agree.

and also theres a knee jerk reaction to make videos that somehow fit into what a music video is supposed to "be"

vincent, nice job and very good technical display..... I'm sure the artist wanted a fairly straight forward video and not something too avant garde or whatever the kids are calling it these days

very good editing in this video, props

an LA editor and gaffer Trey cut the video... the hole fence lensflare thing wasn't planed at al..I just ssaw the room on the day and Thought "Haze! we have to shoot here"...and it turned out great just 2 lights...

I agree with the sped ramp disapering thing maybee if the shot was tighter like the end shot...
