Hope this one will work. Forget about the other one.

New Link Here

I wanted to put an exterior html page in my .Mac site and I'm not use to html programming, so the learning process is not without error.

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

First of all, great job on the compression. Downloaded in realtime; no wait at all.

This was beautiful work. The first thing to grab me was the choice of score; who please? The score sucked me in and didnt let go. You have some super nice comps in this piece and although it appears there has been no color correction you have some wonderful imagery 'out of camera'. Am I right?

My favorite is the 'water rings'. That was very super uber cool. Nice work and thanks for sharing this. I think you and the Dsjecta could make somethign fit for National Geographic.

How do you pronounce Yves? (Phonetic?)

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Shadow, your images looks very clean. Those are some beautiful imagery. Nice!!

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Hi John,

Thank you for your comments, Yves is pronounce like "Eve" the first lady on earth. :)

There is just a very, very small color correction on some clips. In the water rings, I had just remove some yellow, just a notch. Most his "out of camera" with white balance adjustment and filtering of course.

For the music, the composers were mention at the end of the film but I really like the music of the movie "King Arthur" by Hans Zimmer.

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Awesome score choice. I was saying out loud "Eve-S". LOL

Really nice work. Peaceful. Calming. Visual eye candy.

Thanks again!

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Nice work Shadow. Your camera gets along really well with the water!

Very Nice :)

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Beautiful footage Shadow, That part of the world just blasts you with color at that time of year and you documented it well. I like the use of water to provide reflection. How long did it take to train that little fish? :)

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Thanks guys for your comments.

Mino, I think the first time I didn't saw the fish at all, I was just shooting the leaf, then I whistle at him and he came back for the second shot. :D

I have to admit, the color in Fall are just so amazing around here. To have a good look at it, try to see the movie "The Last of the Mohicans (1992)", it was done in the North over here and the music is very good too.

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Yves,

This was so much better than your first effort. You are getting the hang of the timing of the music and it makes all the difference.

Watch out for short transitions with a slow piece. Some of your transitions really asked to be about twice as long.

The backwards ripple was a nice touch, very hypnotic.

Keep working at it, you are doing a really good job.

Thanks for sharing.

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Thanks Disjecta,

I agree with the short transitions, I had put all the clips together and the music after and then had some problems if I wanted to change the transitions, the music was not synchronized anymore. I just have to work at it again. I will need some more footages, but I need to be prepare for the cold weather. :-/

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

A+ Yves

Aucun doute là-dessus ;)

(N'oublies pas une petite laine pour l'hiver. Déjà qu'ici, on se les frise. J'ose pas imaginer ce que cela doit être par chez vous. Vindieu)

ps : ca fait du bien de papoter en français de temps en temps !!

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Hvpz, une petite laine, c'est pas assez pour moi, mais sûrement pas mal pour la DVX. :) Le problème avec le froid, c'est avec la caméra surtout, nous on s'y fait.

Cold here = freezing; tough on the battery.

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Very relaxing, well composed, and interesting. I needed that today.

Thanks.

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Really nice work, peaceful, I love the water undulations.

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

I also agree.

Very peaceful and relaxing. Thank-you!

I absolutely loved the soundtracks as well.
Could you give the specific names and composers of each of them please? I'd like to try to find them.

Thanks,

Norm

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Sahdow,

great work like the way it suck me in.

Question about your site. I also have a .mac account, can you explain how you did your site? I'm all that up on websites. Also that was not a templete was it? If so can you tell me the location of it.

Rob

Re: New Link for "Reflets d'Automne"

Thanks guys

Norm_Li,

After a few demands, here is a more detail soundtracks list.

1- End credits (Braveheart)
2- The wind (Unfaithful) Jan A.P. Kaczmarek
3- Silence (The Thin red Line) Hans Zimmer
4- Farewell (Unfaithful) Jan A.P. Kaczmarek

Rob B,

No, it is not a template from .Mac, I find them to childish and I'm not the only one but Apple just don't listen to our demand. So, I did this one with an external HTML software, Taco who is free by the way. It is not to complicate but you have to learn some HTML programming. You have to build it, then put it in your .Mac homepage (create another site folder than the one with the Mac templates for all the external templates if you don't want to have some problems). You can go on the .Mac forum, there is a lot of information on how to build an external HTML page and some starting templates to help you.
