New light stand and table top mounts for the Odyssey

We are expanding our Odyssey mounting and battery systems.

First new part is the light stand mount:

This works in conjunction with out Odyssey mounting system:



Next is our table top options:


The system comes with a standard ⅝" light stand stud and screws to fasten to a work surface

There is an optional clamp system if you don't want to screw the table top mount permanently to your work surface.

We also offer a Cherry wood platform with rubber feet and optional battery plates to power the Odyssey



Sharyn is just updating our WEBstore these parts are all in stock now. There are a lot of options like Sony/Canon/IDX/AB battery plates etc.

Very cool, I was just brainstorming some table solutions the other day with gear I already have. Nice idea to add the battery plate. Weight+Power!

Yes the plastic parts are 3D printed, and I thoroughly tested them, they are 6 layer walled and 20% fill this is very strong.

I initially made them from aluminum, but it is complex to make in a CNC machine and making injection molds would be very expensive. The PLA is a great product and if made as I described very strong yet light weight. And 3D printing is great for short run production. If I made these parts injection molded the molds would be almost $30,000.00 it would take a lot of sales to pay for the process. I think there is a great future in 3D printing, it really reduces the cost. And we will get products faster and more customized.
