New lens hood for HMC150!

I wen through an endless loop with Panny CS until someone finally told me I was talking to the wrong people, that I needed to call a different number.

That's a great idea. It does look a little strange though. Does anyone think removing those pieces of plastic will affect the camera's performance outside?
 
I just ordered a HMC-150 Lens Hood Cap from Emily of www.spec-comm.com for $32.69 + shipping. Emily was very nice on the phone but I have to admit it was a bit weird giving out my credit card info on the phone *gasp*.
 
You ordered the stock piece?

I popped out the middle piece and tried to like it. It just makes the inside look really ugly..lol. Going back to the DVX hood. Didn't get to try it on a wedding yesterday.
