Looked like a higher shutterspeed to me.
 
Wazzaaah!!! Wow, I see there's a party over here too! Thanks for the kudos everyone. I've been concentrating on one thread primarily on DVinfo (my original home). Not to drag people away from DVXuser (my 2nd home) but I've poured a lot of mind share into the existing thread there:

To answer a few questions, yeah, these Nikon still lenses will breathe a bit. The difference between a $650 Nikon and a $15,000 Cooke.

The kite footage and basketball footage has some high shutter speed for a high energy effect that's often also perceived as stuttery. I did it to test any motion artifacting in having such unique individual frames hitting the DVCPRO HD codec. There was absolutely none. I have more tests with attempting as much havoc and chaos for the DVCPRO encoding, and it just doesn't care at all. "Is that all you got? Come on! I've seen more chaotic motion back at the Panasonic engineering break room!" :D

I'll be posting a bunch more, since I practically take the camera everywhere I go right now. A full production Music Video is planned to start in a few weeks. Subject - MC Meathook and his Horror Porn concept video. Cholly Ha Ha Ha.
 
I loved the kite footage... 720p looking real good! Super colors, detail on the kite string, etc.

My wife made me play the polar bear clip 5 times. Quote her... "Why don't you do that kind of stuff?".

Steev, you can get our dreams carry on, as before with the Kaku's files converted@PC side and now. This camcorder is -- if confirmed, the best indy/arthouse digital filmmaking handheld tool that any today's industry could give us.

Whoa, my girlfriend said almost the same thing to me..girls love bears...especially when they're stuffed..
