New HVX200 and Firestore 160

I just bought the HVX from B&H about 30 days ago. It's got like 2 hours on it. The Firestore is new and unopened.

I'm selling because my vendor called and said my EX1 is in. I know I can't sell at full price for the camera so here's what I can do.

B&H sells for 5200. I'll take 4900 and add a 8 gig P2.
The firestore I can just return. It was 2200.

or 6600 for both w/P2 card

I would like you to keep in mind that you can pay $5299 and get a brand new one with a 16gig P2 card, you might want your asking price to reflect that.

Yes. Thank you Panasonic for A, starting the P2 special 30 days after my purchase and B, now making my chance to sell at a reasonable price nearly impossible.

I would have to sell it at hundreds less to make it happen. I have a better chance of making money on my EX-1. All I have to do is pick it up by Friday.

Timing is everything.
 
Well unless you're buying items wholesale don't ever expect to turn a profit off electronics, buy houses not cameras. Have you toyed with the notion of perhaps renting it out a few times to help minimize your losses a little bit?

I wasn't going to sell it (since I just bought it) but I didn't think I was that close to the top of the list for the EX1. So I wasn't really prepared to buy both within 2 months either. I mean 13000+ before Christmas?

So it's not a big deal. I like my HVX and I'll keep it I guess. I'll probably sell the EX1

Probably a good idea, I'm sure you can still sell it for MSRP.

I don't want to derail this thread... But if you live in Los Angeles I can see where you're bitter, there's other parts of the world that aren't as inflated as Southern California....... none the less the point of the post was to say don't buy electronics at retail price with the anticipation of making money, assume it's a loss from the start.
